Canterbury

It was a sunny and pleasantly warm day in South East England. I visited Canterbury Cathedral and Leeds Castle in Kent. Samuel Beckett was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral and this is a big deal here. Considering that I am still jetlagged and my body feels like it’s been through the ringer, I somehow selected an excursion that was an eight hour exercise in walking and stairclimbing.  Four miles of walking over cobblestones and uneven surfaces, and climbing stone stairs was not kind to my left knee.  Tomorrow is a sea day so I hope I can get some rest. I will have my first knitting group tomorrow

Today, Michael went to a brewery.  He was very happy. The brewery he went to has been in continuous operation for over 400 years and is still using equipment that is over 100 years old.
